2011 Art Summary by Yamashita

Like I did in the last year, I did another art summary!

January:
You're Everything
At first I didn't really cared about this one, but during time I grew up to liking it like many people seems to. It is, after all, my first decent artwork from this year.
Also, I really like the idea of it. I might do a remake of this in January!

February:
The Day Is Conquered
All my dreams came true in February, when this was finally released. It's my number one favourite soundtrack from Pokémon. Forever.
Staraptor doesn't need any explaining, if you watch that video.

March:
White Forest
This is my first bigger artwork that is done in a day. Before this it used to took about two three days doing something like this. Doing these kind of works in one day is my current standard.

April:
Descend
One of from my little series based on Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion's musics. This one is based on my favourite track from that game.

May:
Her Domain
From May, there's not much any works from me since I had some serious problems with using computer...Gladly, the problem was solved by getting my own computer, since before this I've always used somebody else's one. Anyway, this little thing is featuring my love, my cat Minni (Finnish version of name Minnie). She's half persian and is much fatter bigger than this.

June:
Irreplaceable
For the one year anniversary from Fullmetal Alchemist's ending...

July:
Life Goes On
Remake of one of my biggest works ever (even bigger than my scanner). Definitely worth to mention.

August:
Don't Let Your Light Die
I was first thinking this, but I ended up to choosing another.
Another remake of older work.

September:
Shōri
Again, based on this. Here you can see, how my style with colouring is changed a little: I've started doing darker shadows.

October:
The Cold Side of Cyrodiil
Nothing much to say about this...I was really excited about upcoming Skyrim.

November:
Conclusion
This one came out quite much like it was in my head. It's really stunning how that simple background can look that good.

December:
Prelude
And the last, December. It doesn't mean end...it means beginning of a new time. : D
This one also came out like it was in my head.

It's hard to believe, but this year was better than 2010, which was the best year in my life. Yep.
