"Mum...?"
"I know, dear Aster...I just...I wish I could be with her again...my sweet Aster."

So...Delta Episode happened. And it was the frikking best thing ever.
Not only because of plot, which was really good, of course. Nor because of the awesome cutscenes. No, what really made that part of Alpha Sapphire for me was...Zinnia.
I really liked her ever since I first saw/heard of her. But after actually playing the game, and seeing her and everything...it was amazing. I can't believe Game Freak made a character like her. I still don't fully get what was the deal with her, but I think I kinda understand. She seemed freaky (specially her pose when you battle her), but then there's this whole thing with Aster. For me it seems that Zinnia lost her kid, at least I got that impression from her dialogue before summoning Rayquaza. And...I dunno, it just feels so cool, yet sad. She'd better appear in some future game so we can learn more about her...I just love Zinnia, okay?

I will admit: The Delta Episode was probably the best part of my play-through of ORAS.

One thing I liked about it was that something in Zinnia's dialogue managed to strike up a good discussion with my brother. I don't mean to spoil anything, but at some point in the middle of the episode, she talks about another Hoenn... One where human technology took a different turn, Mega Evolution didn't exist, and the Kalos War 3000 years ago never happened. Could she possibly be talking about the past Hoenn games, Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald? If so, that makes me want to ask how she even knows about that.

So we sort of came up with a timeline theory. It was basically something along the lines of alternate dimensions and about constants and variables within each main series Pokemon game, including the alternate versions between the newer games. Basically, every single main series game has three things: There's always a protagonist (you), there's always a driving force (the professor giving you your first Pokemon), and there's always the goal (becoming the Champion, saving the world, etc.).

It was kind of mind-blowing. Its things like this that I really admire from Nintendo, how they just put these little tidbits in their games to make us think and come up with theories like this. Nintendo, you clever sons of guns. O_o
