Aaaaand it's over! Must say, it was really fun while it lasted.
Usually I don't think I'm really good at making short stories without it being independent from some longer story. Well, while this is a side story for a longer story, I think it works just fine as it's own. Or that is just my opinion, you can think differently about this.
In my stories, I like to emphasis by little acts how some characters change and develop. In this story, I think I showed pretty well how Chars' have changed from when Alan met him as a Charmander. If you remember back in part 2, I showed how Chars' previous human partner was hospitalized, and thus was not useful for the arrogant Charmander anymore, so he simply abandoned that human. Charmander was a very selfish Pokémon, and only tolerated a human with him so he could solve the mystery of his stone. When he started travelling with Alan, this selfishness was seen as his indifferent actions towards anyone and anything around him. However, this changed, as seen in the flashback in part 4, when he realized little by little how he didn't progress with his mission of solving the mystery with his current acts, so he decided to change his behaviour. By changing his attitude, Chars was able to be friends with Alan, and they became close, which eventually allowed them to unlock Mega Evolution. But this wasn't all thanks to Chars. Alan is a quite headstrong person. When she was injured after falling down with Chars and pretty much unable to continue on her own, she just simply refused to give up. She wanted to be useful in some way. This unyielding spirit convinced Chars, who decided to fully trust her help. Chars have complete trust in Alan. He will always stay on her side: this is seen as how he stays with Alan while she was hospitalized in this part. They're friends.
Okay, deep shit aside, I hope you enjoyed reading this comic as much as I enjoyed making it. It would be nice to hear what did you think about it, and what kind of feelings you had while reading it.

Man, this was amazing experience. I wanted to give my thoughts on the comic after I've read everything. I absolutely loved everything about it. I loved Chars' character development from an arrogant Charmander to a kinder Charizard who cares about his trainer. Alan is absolutely lovely, she totally kicks ass. Somehow, when I saw Sycamore in the comic and the mystery of the stone around Chars' neck, I had a feeling this would be about Mega Evolution. It's also nice to see that you chose the Y Mega Evolution of Charizard rather than the X one (people would normally choose the X evolution) Even as a short story I felt really attached to these characters, you have a real knack for story telling and your art is always a joy to look at.
