Short version: read the title.
Long version: Surprise, motherfucker.
It wasn't a quick decision: I planned leaving this site already back in 2011, but then I started my nuzlocke, and...you probably know the rest.
But why I am leaving? Well, that's simple, my friends. Let's start asking why I came here in the first place. It was because I wanted to share my art with people who like art too. During these years I have noticed how most, if not almost all people in here dA doesn't actually care about art. Me, for example, have got over 1600 watchers during last couple years. Why? Because of my nuzlocke. Whenever I spend time with thinking and executing an artwork and put it here, guess how many comments it gets? About three, if I'm lucky. So. Over 1600 watchers, and about two of three bother comment...sometimes. Making art with my heart, and people don't care...that really hurts.
I want to be remembered as "that artist", not as "that artist who made pretty cool nuzlocke". And right now I have to start my own life, so being here in dA is just on my way. That's why I'm leaving, or maybe I should say taking a long break. Because I might come back. Just to not make this leave feel like something permanent, I left on purpose that preview of nuzlocke sequel. So wait for me.
See ya.

YTWC's Nuzlocke + YTWC's Black - the retrospective
Alright. To not meander with the main point for too long, let’s get it out of the way right off the bat: I have made it no secret that I have very complex, often quite negative feelings over these two comics I worked on. Let's back up a little. YTWC's Nuzlocke is, as the name implies, a (SoulSilver) nuzlocke comic I worked on from April 2011 to December 2013. I was only 17 years old when I started this comic, so it has not aged the best in many aspects. This comic was not only my first big attempt to have human characters and buildings in a comic, but it also was my first comic in English. When I started YTWC's Nuzlocke I came up with the comic and story pretty much on the spot. It has become a standard for me to work on the story and characters for quite a while before starting the comic (for example: my passion project Storm Rider was in development for about seven years before starting the comic). At the time when I uploaded the first comic update, I wasn't even sure if I wanted

Alright, I'm going to be straightforward with this one. If you followed me for any of the pre-2019 content on this account — Pokémon, Ginga, or any other fanart that I have not drawn for years now...feel free to unfollow me. My focus as a content creator and artist has shifted away from the fan content, making this account largely useless to me (as the focus here has always been the fan content). I did not start making art for fanart. And that was never my main focus, either. There were times when I did a lot of it, but those times are long in the past. I will keep this account up mostly for archiving reasons, but it's been blatantly obvious for years now that I simply have no use for this account anymore. At least not for it's original intended purposes. I also want you to know that I am not going anywhere, or never have left at any point. I've been here, doing other things. I have another DeviantArt account dedicated for my original works, I have accounts on Twitter, Tumblr, and
Summer update on things that are going on~
First: the next YTWC's Black update (the last comic update before the epilogue) is about 60% done. I'd like to get the update done by the end of the summer, but I can't make any promises due to some upcoming life changes. We'll see. Second: not art related, but if you like to see (and hear) more of me, I am planning to do some gaming streams again in July. I am going to start out with this: Tomorrow, on my Twitch channel (click) I will be playing Portal for the very first time around 7 PM in Finland's time. It will be probably very chaotic, so feel free to join if you're into that type of thing. (the stream will be uploaded to my Youtube channel later) Third: stay hydrated! It's a very hot summer.

Nuzlocke got me into DeviantArt, but I have recently been browsing other arts, so hopefully I'm one of the three who remembers you for your art, not your nuzlocke.
Good luck. See you!
